“Give praise with crashing cymbals, praise him with sounding cymbals. Let everything
that has breath give praise to the Lord!” — Psalm 150:5-6
Our Mission
Sacred music is not an ornament to the liturgy; it is an integral part of our worship. At St. Bernard’s, our primary mission is to help the congregation pray through song, uniting our voices as one body in Christ. Echoing the words of St. Augustine, we believe that “those who sing pray twice,” elevating our communal prayer by offering our best gifts in humble service and spiritual devotion.”
Our Ensembles
- St. Bernard’s Music Ministry: This dedicated group of adults sings at the 10:00 AM Mass most Sundays, as well as major Holy Days throughout the liturgical year. Rehearsals take place every Tuesday evening, focusing on preparing our weekly music, praying together, and enjoying community.
- Children’s Choir: Nurturing the next generation of faith, our Children’s Choir helps youth learn to share their voices in prayer and participate in the Mass. The children sing periodically, roughly once a month, during the school year.
